How & Why we Grant...
Purpose:
The purpose of the Delta Blues Festival Musical Grant is to promote the art and education of music to students who need a little funding to help make it happen.
It empowers the attendees and sponsors of the Benefit Concert to support musical education in the community, on behalf of the festival. So that all can do their part to help further the education of a student interested in music.
Judging:
Each application will be anonymously discussed and reviewed by a group of DBF volunteers along with representatives of the El Campanil Preservation Foundation, to decide the submission which best deserves the grant.

Criteria:
- Applicant must be an organization located in Antioch, CA.
- Applicant must have a commitment to enlighten, enhance, and empower musical studies with students.
- Any funds received through this grant will be used only for the purposes requested.
- If you receive a grant, you will need to submit a final report by December 31, of the year received of how funds were used.
- Any funds not utilized by December 31, of the year received, must be returned to grantor (unless otherwise agreed in writing).
- Physical inspection (if applicable) may be done by grantor to ensure that funds were dispersed as described in grant application
Selection Process:
- The committee will gather and discuss the applications and decide which applicant best deserves grant.
- There is no need to contact the DBF to understand the progress of one's application. All applicants will be notified via email of the outcome.
- Formal announcement will be held at the Delta Blues Festival Benefit Concert.
Payment Process:
- The funds will be paid through the El Campanil Preservation Foundation
- Grant amount varies from year to year and depends upon sponsorship support to the Delta Blues Festival.
